Frequentis, an Austrian technology company, has deployed its advanced aviation message handling system (AMHS) across ASECNA member countries.
ASECNA is the Agency for Aerial Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar.
With the installation of the AMHS technology, ASECNA member countries including Cameroon, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, and the Central African Republic will benefit from the upgrade of their existing aeronautical fixed telecom network (AFTN) messaging service.
The integrated messaging solution aims to enhance communication capability and support the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) basic and extended AMHS service profiles.
For this project, Frequentis Comsoft supplied the complete AMHS product portfolio, including the AMHS system AIDA-NG, CADAS-ATS, and an ATS terminal for messaging services and flight planning, which have been designed to support the move from AFTN to AMHS.
