US-based engineering company Tetra Tech has secured a contract from the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to facilitate a civil aviation programme in Mexico.
The company will optimise airspace communications, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management as part of the 18-month technical assistance contract.
In addition, it will provide a national civil aviation master plan for the Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency utilising simulation models and advanced data analytics.
Tetra Tech also plans to make use of its Volans software as a service (SaaS) tool to support optimised airspace capacity, economic analysis and environmental solutions.
The project aims to help the Mexican government carry out its mandate to oversee air traffic management in the country.
