Hard-Surface Cleaning Solutions

Cyclone offers high-speed surface cleaning systems that clean, recover and recycle cleaning water while separating recovered surface contaminants. This is all accomplished onboard a single vehicle, without the use of an external or secondary vacuum source.

The Cyclone 4006™ is designed specifically to clean surfaces in airport and road applications. Cyclone Technology rubber removal system considers the environmental impact of surface cleaning technology, and assists the airport industry in becoming ‘faster, greener, cleaner’.

Deep surface cleaning with an environmental approach

The Cyclone 4006 deep cleans airport runway and apron surfaces more effectively and in less time than other methods.

A patented cleaning and recovery head cleans and removes rubber and paint-build-up, without damage to the surface. Water and debris are completely recovered with Cyclone technology, and separated by filtering through fabric in the waste tank.

Over time, rubber build-up on airport runways creates safety hazards. Cyclone machines remove rubber and paint marks from both grooved and smooth runways without damaging the integrity of the surface, whether it is concrete or asphalt.

The multi-patented Cyclone head cleans into the grooves without damage to the runway to extend the time before the removal process is required.
Single pass cleaning removes rubber with no chemicals, no external vacuum and no water run off.
The Cyclone CY5000 (as shown) is ideal for all concrete and asphalt airfield applications, commercial or industrial cleaning. No pooling of water and immediate try times, saving you time and money.
The swirling vortex of air and water creating a category 4 storm results in an exceptionally deep clean, with dramatic results with just one pass. The CY5500 (as shown) cleans and recycles waste water, providing runtimes of up to 5 hours on a single tank of water

The company’s Cyclone machines remove painted lines without damaging the surface, leaving it clean, dry, and ready for repainting. 100% of the water used for cleaning, as well as the painted line debris, is recovered resulting in an environmentally friendly solution to painted line removal.

Storm class wind suction to reduce water consumption

Cyclone technology does not need suction but instead produces a cyclone storm class 4, with winds in excess of 140mph (225km / h). The multi-patented head removes 100% of the waste water and debris off the ground into a small tank on the nozzle head, and then actively pumps the waste into a waste tank.

Lower water consumption from a smaller tank equals better manoeuvrability and an on-board computer controlled system avoids damage to the texture of the runway.

All computer controlled system data is clearly in view, resulting in easy one-man operation. An accessible open space makes filter changes easy.

Productivity of Cyclone technology:

The productivity of the CY4006AC / CY4006HT / CY4006LT:

  • 1 Rubber Removal Head – 1,500m² / h to 2,300m² / h
  • 2 Rubber Removal Heads – 2,000m² / h to 4,600m² / hour
  • 3 Rubber Removal Heads – 3,000m² / h to 6,000m² / h
  • 1 Paint Removal Head – 2,000 line meter or 300 m² / hour
  • Operation time 4.7 hours due to extreme low water consumption (CY4006AC+HT)
  • Operation time 2.2 hours due to smaller tank volume on the light truck (CY4006LT)

Low maintenance and cost of operation

The vortex of air and water created by the Cyclone head means an internal vacuum is produced within the nozzle head, resulting in lower maintenance costs while using 30% less fuel. Only 0.5lt / m² are used for rubber removal compared to less than 1.5lt / m² of closest competitor decreases water costs.

Less fresh water to filter provides longer filter life. Less wastewater to take care of reduces disposal costs. Less water used means low impact on texture scoring. The runway life time is prolonged by 50%. Simple computer controlled handling by one operator equals decreased costs in manpower.

Dewatering tanks uses an inexpensive filter fabric material. No pressure vessel or tanks needed unlike external vacuum systems.

A focus on environmental impact

The Cyclone CY4006 uses only 30% of the fresh water for rubber removal compared to other models on the market.

The Cyclone 4006 needs less power to run the UHP pump. With 160 less horsepower, the end result is less fuel used and less CO² produced.

Summary

Travel and Operational Speed are infinitely adjustable from 0km / h to 27km / h for the airport design CY4006, and the CY4006HT truck version from 0km / h to 120km / h.

Completely self-contained one person operation, with a climate controlled cab and computer controlled operation.

A cantilevered cab design provides operator direct line-of-sight view of cleaning path (excellent vision from the truck cab to cleaning operation path). Additionally, a remote viewing camera gives operator 360 degrees visibility with no blind spots. Two permanently mounted Cyclone cleaning heads switch from rubber removal to paint line removal in minutes.

The Cyclone 4006 uses only 6,056lt of water capacity. Because of the very low water consumption (0.5lts / m²) the result is 30 % less water compared to similar solutions. The Cyclone has on-board recovery and waste separation with automatic simultaneous separation of waste from cleaning water.

An external vacuum source is not required due to the Cyclone technology resulting in 35% less fuel used. With one pass of the CY4006, surfaces are left clean and usable in minutes, with no damage to the texture of surface, sealing, airfield ground lighting, paint markers (if cleaned from rubber , and paint).
